Can you tell us more about exactly what you're trying to do?

If you press the Print Screen button, your computer (usually) takes a snapshot of what's on your screen and places it on the clipboard. You can then paste the image into many different applications such as MS Word, MS Paint, Paint Shop Pro etc by pressing CTRL+V.

There are many programs available that make the job of taking multiple screen captures a lot easier, some of which are freeware. Just do a Google search and you'll find them.

Can you use it to take a screen capture of this web page viewed in Internet Explorer and paste it into MS Word? That should always work.

Which application are you trying to get an image of that isn't working?

Have you tried ALT+Print Scrn?

If not just get a freeware app to do it like Wombat said.

Could be a problem with the key itself, have you tried another keyboard?
