Yes, GoogleAds only generate revenue if you click on them. But please, please, please... do not click on the ads randomly since Google will notice if there is abuse. Only click on any ads you find interesting, if any. Instructions on how to block the ads have already been given above, so if they really bother you and you can't live another day without getting rid of them go ahead, you know how to.

The ads don't bother me, in fact it gives google a little flair to their site. When I use google I am focused on finding out specific info so the ads don't distract me one bit

Actually the question was referring to the GoogleAds we now have on this site (not to the ads on Google itself) Wink

The service and support on this site is free. I see no reason that google ads are unfair or annoying on security-forums.com ; accepting them is the least we can do to help SF out! This, is what I think. To tell you the truth, I did not even notice them until someone pointed them out. Very Happy

I have to agree with the last poster Smile. It's not like security forums have decided to placed flashing banner ads at the bottom of every page. The google-ads are quite subtle and easy to ignore .
