Hi guys,

The site will be undergoing a change shortly in regards to how it looks. This new look will be a nice change for us. We are looking forward to it, as it is always nice to get a sprucing up as it were. Please take the time to give us your thoughts, as time permits. We firmly believe you will like what you see.

Kind regards,

The administration team

The Google Ad box is blocking part of the view. It need to be moved a little more to the right.

I like the general look of the new design.

However I dislike the borders down the side of the page as effectively there is now the same info in less space.

If this is not fixed I may have to get a 21” screen (any excuse) Smile

I appreciate that you are making adjustments.

Also keep up the good work.

The above is my only gripe why waste real estate? It is thin for no reason IMO.

I can safely say that I am not seeing these ads anywhere. Confused I am using IE and have no alternative browsers to check this in from here.

Also, I have no add ons installed that would cause the ads to be removed.

Hi guys,

I have to chime in here because I've seen this complaint about Google ads in some other parts of the site and there should be no Google ads anywhere on the forum. We disabled the right hand side banner on the entire forum. There should be nothing except grey space on the right hand side.

If you see google ads please take a screenshot and send it to michaelv at techgenix dot com or to admins at security-forums dot com. Also let us know which page you were on. The only ads that should be visible on any part of the forum, unless blocked, is at the top, leaderboard sized banner 728x60, and on the left hand side, two square banners 125x125. Other than those three adverts there should be no other adverts on any page on the forum.

I'm in the process of sending the screenshot of the google ad box. Let me know if you get it all right. Smile

Using IE, I am seeing the google ad box again (on the rt side of the screen). It is overlaying part of the threads.
It was gone this afternoon, but now it is there again.
In FireFox, everything looks OK.

According to the developer Google Ads should not appear now. If you see Google Ads please clear your cache and see if the problem persists. If it still persists please view the page source, copy it and send a copy, with details on your browser version to michaelv at techgenix dot com and admins at security-forums dot com. Thanks.

I never saw Google ads either, but I don't really count because I'm blocking the damn thing on my hosts file.

So, there wasn't really much point to saying this other than... uuh, neener neener Razz Laughing

Hello all,

I notice that the margins have been removed but there is still a big empty gap to the right of the forum. It looks ok in IE but does not look the same in Firefox (im on windows ATM).

We are attempting to get a unified look for all the sites within the TechGenix group, including this one.

Please note that the site is optimized for viewing at 1024x768. Higher resolutions will present wider side margins.
