I am running an updated Tiger and I want to execute a shell script as root. I am aware of the security implications, I am also aware that Apple turned off the execution of setuid shell scripts. So besides creating my script into a binary, how else can I work around getting a shell script to run as setuid root?

I have tried the following kernel modification with no luck: sudo sysctl -w kern.sugid.scripts=1

Any help would be appreciated.

Add the user who needs to execute the setuid shell script to the wheel group Smile.
