I use AVG antivirus (free edition) in my computer, but since tuesday the antivirus software goes down and the system became slow. So, I've decided to run a free scanning process available in a site called "Infectedornot.com" (I know it's a funny name Wink ), and it found 8 spywares in the hard disk.

Is there something wrong with AVG?

possibly. However, AVG anti-virus free version doesn't scan for spyware so I'm not surprised it's "missed" the spyware. You may have some lovely bug turning off AVG so I'd say run a hijack log and get some anti-spyware software on there and see what's happening.

Hi Graycat:
I've already "killed" the spywares but I still can't run the AVG software, you think my computer probably has a virus too?

quite possibly. have a look at the AV and spyware posts on here or read the docs for AVG on how to scan / install etc when already infected.
