By now everyone has heard about Sarah Palin’s personal e-mail account being hacked, perhaps in hopes to find information that would decease her creditability and even swing the pendulum of the election. We are also seeing an increase in attacks on websites that play a critical role in the election. Important swing state Ohio recently reported that their site was hacked. Though the specifics of the attack have yet to be released, Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner has gone out of her way to ensure that they consider voter fraud a top priority. In a statement released Monday, Brunner indicated “Our focus is and has always been to protect the vote of every eligible Ohio voter from any kind of fraud, be it voter registration fraud, illegal voting or vote suppression,". She went on to say, "This action (hardening the site) has been taken to detect and prosecute any illegal breach of our voting infrastructure to maintain voter confidence."
