If you weren't in your current career and spending all day on SF replying to some of the quality posts what job would you be doing?
I will start off......I would be teaching SCUBA somewhere warm.

This is more difficult than it appears.
I'm doing with my life exactly what I wish to do. I think I'd have been better at playing this "what if" when I was in my early twenties and just starting out in the world.
About the only unfullfilled dream I have left is owning and running a small country store ... hang about all day and chat with the customers. Only problem is, unless I locate in an area with numerous retirees -- I'd not realize the chatting part.
Oh yes, I'd sell Tylenol as well

I would likely take a crack at writing full-time. Likely in fiction though as it has a much bigger market then computer security. Hmmmmm, perhaps I could churn out scripts for the porno industry!

You think you would, but you'd soon become bored with it and then want something else

I would be training MMA, reading and learning about history, and also would love to travel around the world for missions work.

MMA huh? You train in any art at the moment? And when you say missions, do you mean like Chuck Norris type missions?

I am currently not training in MMA but I did train a bit with a buddy of mine in the past. I would love to get into it a bit more but my schedule does not allow for this at the moment (see, I could have been training now if I wasn't replying).
In terms of missions work though, I meant more on the lines of helping people and working with the needy and telling them that there is a God who loves them. Not the Chuck Norris kind.
Something more like travel the road.

I would like to own an event center. I think it would be a lot of fun to see all of the weddings, parties, and different things. Sadly, I am stuck behind a computer all day answering the phone. Hooray for two college degrees!

actually, i started out as a teacher but that didn't work out so now i'm in IT instead. from an economic standpoint it's much better for me, and luckily i've gotten into some jobs where i'm not required to put in overtime so my hours are not nearly as long as a teacher's either

Humm....
I still say being a country store owner/operator is the perfect job. But forget the checker board over the pickle barrel routine -- I'd want a high speed Internet connection and laptop handy to amuse myself with in-between customers.
