Hi

I am having one domain controller running on windows 2008 and its FQDN is as follows :
CRDC501.DC51.local

total 18 computers are part of this domain and if i go to one client and open the "network centre" and its detailed view where it will list all the network connection & against each network card which is present on that computer the status will be shown as DC51.local2I tried to disable and enable couple of tiime so that it will identify its status with DC51.local but could not.

In all other systems it is showing DC51.local.

i am not having the clue from where it is taking DC51.local2. This is happening on windows 7 OS.

Note : I have craeted this domain 3 times with DC51.local

if need some more details pl let me know.

Meethemant,

Microsoft does have an official Windows 7 Support Forum located here http://tinyurl.com/9fhdl5 . It is supported by product specialists as well as engineers and support teams. You may want to also check the threads available there for additional assistance and guidance.

meethemant,

Have you tried uninstalling the network card from device manager and reinstalling it? I have had this happen before with a wireless SSID, and a quick uninstall and reinstall fixed it for me. Its not the ideal solution, but it may be worth a shot.
