If I have say norton on the client PC (which presumably runs when the client is active) and protects the emails in Outlook, what is the case for buying more licenses for each mailbox on the server as the emails are going to be read under the protection of the client application?

The answer may be influenced as to whether a smart host is involved.

I want to check before doubling the cost by having two applications effectively doing the job of one for each mailbox.

Advice appreciated.
