how do I create a "service account" in my windows08 domain that only allows software to be installed. So when users need to install an application they can use it

I'm not sure I quite follow what you're after to be honest.

Do you mean a user can log on as AccountA and SoftwareX will be installed? If so, just create a GPO that is filtered off by that account therefore whenever that account logs on the software will be installed.


If you're after deploying software to users in a purely optional fashion, I'd suggest you look at publishing software via GPO as opposed to assigning it in the usual manner.

Let me be a bit clearer all my domain users dont have rights to install any application so whenever they attempt to do that it prompts them for elevated privilege so i want to create an account that they can use when prompted so the application can be install. its sort of an account that only give allow apps to be installed
