Can anyone explain how these malware files appeared on the pc.

Author: BluePass, Posted: Thu Sep 04, 2008 6:25 pm Post subject: ---- If the computer is connected to a network and one of the machines on the network contains one of these malware and tries to spread them -- that's one attack vector. Another possibility is the software you installed on the server may have contained these malware.
Looking at Symantec's definition of W32.SillyFDC:
"W32.SillyFDC is a generic detection that detects variants of the W32.Silly family of worms that spread by copying itself to removable media and may download other malicious applications."
It probably came from a USB or external drive that you've used to install software or copy files onto the server.
