hi

depend what do you do.

The *

is the character you search.

but

for example if you want search all file within manual

Code:

whereis -m -u *

if you want search every binary file

Code:

whereis -b -u *

etc. etc.

at the normal command you put -u * ever.

I've never been a big fan of whereis.. learn to use the find cmd, it will serve you well!
