I had Flash stop and say "encounter an error and had to close ..."


And here is what I found in the Event Log:

Does this look like an attack to you ? I am using the latest version of Flash updated Aug 23, 2010.

Could be an attack or a random crash, you have to consider what is the probability of being served a malicious flash from the site you were in.

If it was a 0day exploit against flash that uses a buffer overflow it might look like that, however the probability is pretty low of you hitting malicious flash like that unless you follow link from a malicious email.

could it also bi an old flash player, i mean outdated?? i also encountered that kind of error.

infected ads on websites is getting more common now. There are also infected flash vids on facebook
