Hi I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, which as you may be aware does not allow you to set security preferences for individual users.

I want to have 2 users on my account: one administrator (me) with unrestricted access, and one guest (or standard user) unable to access a protected folder and a protected drive.

I have tried numerous programmes but cannot find any that can do the above. At best Advanced Folder Guard could password-protect the folder for all users but could not password-protect the drive.

Does anyone know any security software that can help?

Set NTFS permissions on the folder denying the guest account access.

This article was written for XP but applies to Windows 7:

Thank you. I got to that window before but didn't understand it. Have worked it out by the guide, thank you.
