I've heard quite a bit about the group and have looked at some of their advisories/exploit code. The website I see referenced all the time (www.team-teso.net) has been down for a couple months now though. Anybody know what the deal is with this group? I tried looking on google and couldn't find any references to why they had disappeared...

I just read a few very recent posts about them on a few discussion boards
I'd rather not post here but it appears they are definitely alive and well.
Try a quick GOOGLE like THIS ONE
and you'll find a post from June 2004:
Quote:
Scut (from teso) is located in Germany (http://segfault.net/~scut/).

See if you can hook up with him!!
Packetstorm has some of their current material HERE (2004/01)
But in reading - from 2002 Team Teso had a nasty runin with PS
for allegedly posting some of their 'private' exploit code.

And HERE is a Jan 2004 teso-announce message
Do a little reading and you'll find stealth's old site is down too and
they have changed their naming convention recently.

You'll also find stealth's new site that *is working* if you poke around
looking for ssharp
You'll also find a *very interesting* speech from 2003
on SSH MiM attack methods and protections.
