I have to *sigh* do a full hardware Audit of a company.

I need to whip round all the machines and see:

a) CPU Speed
b) RAM
c) HDD space

As fast as possible, I require something that does this without any installation that I can run off a Network drive.

Has to be able to cope with CPU's from PI-Present.

I thought of WCPUID+something else maybe?

Any ideas appreciated.

An Excel Spreadsheet, or a comma seperated notepad file?

Don't matter really, don't matter if I have to do it manually on each machine.

As long as it shows me all those details on the screen and it doesn't need installing.

Notepad it is then Smile

If you leave a tab between each "column", it should be easy enough to follow,

Notepad can record the information about each PC.

The User still needs to get off their arse and get the info from the system control panel.

Twisted Evil Rolling Eyes

Any suggestions for software that does it automatically for lazy people?

Nice one butt boy, problem is all the info aint in the system.cpl.

Unless you class x86 stepping CPU as info?

JUST TELL ME WHERE TO GET AN APP!

And I'll be using Excel as I've put the NetBIOS names in an xls allready.

And I'm not lazy I'm efficient, I just want to click one button, see all the relevant info, write it in a spreadsheet and move onto the next machine.

I don't have a lot of time to spare (to do actual work), I'm busy (reading the forum). Very Happy

I wonder sometimes if you actually read the original questions, or just make up random answers Shocked

http://web.inter.nl.net/hcc/J.Steunebrink/chkcpu.htm

Its a quick DOS util that'll display CPU info. Detailed or just speed (see options) You might be able to incorporate this into a batch file.
If I have time later I'll look into the other stuff.

Just tried it under win2k, I'm only assuming this will work on other windows platforms....assuming you're running this on windows platforms....
