Does anyone know of the program that decodes or allows you to de-crypt the ".pwl" files?

Also, when searching my server for "password.txt" on google for "index of password.txt" I found many passwords, I assume, but they are obviously encrypted, for example:

AXnfeAi8eMr

Now, what I am curious about is how could you decrypt these? How could one go about decrypting these and gaining access?

For PWL : http://www.darknet.org.uk/content/files/password/caine.zip

Many passwords will be MD5.

Check out John the ripper: http://www.darknet.org.uk/content/files/password/john-15w.zip
