hey all
can anyone recommend a network boot cd for me? i've got a few boot floppies along the lines of Bart's BootDisk etc but we've got a load of laptops come in that don't ahve floopy drives
i'm going to have a play with the one listed on Bart's site, but if you guys know of any others feel free to post!

Cant u just burn the contents of the floppy onto a bootable CD?

You could probably use any live linux distro or maybe even erd commander. then install the os over the network.

cheers, guys. hadn't really thought about using a livecd for it as it's only for ghosting images to and from the boxes and the boot floppies are just so damn good at it lol

You can make a BART PE CD. Download the PEBuilder, install, copy the necessary NIC drivers and build a CD image. You can also personalize your own live CDs by adding/enabling some pluggins or make your own, adding SCSI drivers, etc. The result will be a windows preinstalled environment CD very useful for serviceing.

I use a ghost cd that just uses the boot files from a floppy and also has a few extra files on it that I added for just in case scenarios. Just copy the files on your ghost floppy to a cd and make sure that you make it bootable.
