So I'm getting two options on notebooks:
Acer Aspire 3002LCi and Acer Travelmate 2413.
Both have pretty much the same specs, but what I'm interested in is the processor. The Aspire is and AMD Sempron 2800+, and the Travelmate is a Celeron M 370 1.6 GHz.
I'm no expert on AMD, but I do know Celeron's have shaky quality. But since I know next to nothing about AMD, I would like to see some opinions about which processor is better.

The Sempron will be faster.
The clock speed of the Sempron is 1.8GHz (as opposed to the celeron's 1.6GHz). On top of that the sempron performs more operations per second than the celeron. Also, the L1 cache of the Sempron Mobile is 128k... the Mobile Celeron is only 64k.
Technical comparison of the mobiel chips: http://www.amd.com/us-en/Processors/ProductInformation/0,,30_118_11600_11613,00.html

That depends on how you define "better?"
What will you be using the notebook for? Some chips probably perform better at various tasks i.e. gaming then some chips which are better for somethign else.

It's for everyday home use, and work, college, etc. The only downside is the Sentron one has only 256 MB DDR Ram, but I think it's enough for what I need it for, right? (In any case I can just add more memory).

Could it be that the Celeron is better? |
Yeah, in "Common business tasks"... I guess the celerons are better in regards to word processing. But for gaming the Radeon X200 > Intel "Extreme" Graphics.
If I was even thinking of playing a game, the V2000Z and M2000Z (the Sempron machines with the Radeon) in those tests would have come out significantly ahead.

So if I wanted it basically for home use, I should go with the Celeron?
