I want to program a web interface for NMap 4.0. Ive seen it done in the Metasploit Framework. All you do is run a batch file that brodcasts the page on 127.0.0.1:55555.

The batch file contains this code:

Quote:
@echo off

chdir bin
bash --login -i -c /home/run_msfweb || bash --login -i

All this does is runs "run_msfweb" from the home dir and gives the command "bash --login -i".

Id want the web interface to be able to select the different options that are implemented in NMAP and also show the output.

I dont know any programing languages apart from basic HTML and very little VB. Just wondering if any one knew where I could start or give me some pointers on how I would go about making a web interface. Would this be hard to do for a non programer?

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: When msfweb.bat runs, it runs two proceses 1. batch.exe 2. perl.exe
does this mean its programed in PERL as its using the perl process?

EDIT#2:

The "run_msfweb" file contains this code:

Quote:
#!/usr/bin/perl
###############

chdir("/home");
if (! -d "framework") {
mkdir("framework",0755);
system("tar xf framework.tar");
}

exec("/home/framework/msfweb");
exec("/bin/bash");
exit(0);

This code runs "msfweb" in the "/home/framework/" directory. The msfweb source is here.

Do I need to be a PERL expert to do this or is there an easyer way?
