Our network administrator installed some gadget(I suspect a kind of
client module of monitoring software) on my computer
for sake of network security, which disable my Win XP modem to get
access to Internet. what a xxx.
Open the device manager, found a red cross on the the modem item.
Open the attribute box, found the device code 22(disable),
but can not start up the disabled modem whatever I do.
run the regedit.exe, found configflag = 1 in the modem column
at LEGACY_ part
check up the BIOS, modem is OK without problem.
check up the task manager, found no suspicious process or module
running on the background.
I deleted the modem and reinstall it but nothing more changed.
so I suspect there must exist some kind of unnoticed software module
similar to some device driver or whatout registerd on the system level running behind,
which I can do nothing to figure it out.
is there anyone get idea about it, please help me
thanks a lot.
