There are many locations in the uk wher thert is little prospect of broadband coverage. Often there is a school locally with this. What is the prospect of installing a local wireless network to utilise this? The school could gain from a local subscription and there could be time of day restrictions imposed if necesary. Wadyathink?

I don't think this is something you will see happening. Growth will happen eventually. The schools probably don't have the time/resources/man power to make something like that feasable.

But who knows... it could happen. In the Minnesota they are setting up Wireless MANs (Metro Area Networks)... When that is out the hope to provide highspeed wireless access cheaper than broadband and the like.
