xathras,
are you asking for suggestions on to study for a CCNA qualification?

if so, there are some courses for which you can obtain the course material along with tests and simulators for the CCNA.

look up CCNA books on amazon perhaps?

any CCNA people out there with suggestions?

isn't testking a braindump kind of site? Confused

personally, I've got books and practice test from people like Transcender etc for when i start looking at CCNA later this year. The old books to find out, practical to test / break and practice exams to fine tune approach has worked very well for me in the past so i'd definitely recommend it to you. Smile

oh, and stay away from anything that says things like "pass your [insert cert name] in X days!" or anything that'll give you the answers to questions, ie: braindumps.

I've been meaning to do a review of both transcenders and ExamForce's practice exams. Confused

Depends on what your looking for. Are you looking for a cert to stick on your resume or are you looking to actually become qualified? If you really want to skimp out, then there ARE some websites that post the actual answers to each chapter test and final test, and although there are a pool of questions that are generated for each test session, the questions supplied by these websites are 90% effective. Of course i won't give you the location to such places, you can find em your self if you really wanna do that, but you sure as hell won't know what to do when someone hands you a Cisco Router to configure.
Thus, i suggest that if you do it, do it right.
I'm doing CCNA at Uni right now (as i type this in-fact Wink ). The CCNA unit spans 75 hours over the whole year as part of my course. I'm just finishing up CCNA4 in this last term.
But i'm sure you could squease it in less.

Put simply, its pretty damn easy if you put the right amount of effort into it. I WOULD suggest you go do a night class somewhere, you'll need the practical experience.
If you do an actual course you'll be (hopefully) supplied with real routers and switches to work with. You also get signed up to the Cisco Academy where you can read the chapters at home and then go do the tests at the institute.
There are also online simulated labs at the Cisco website too.
What i do is read each chapter and write a more compact version of it in my own words in a journal. I actually remember half the crap with that method.
The Cisco simulated labs are ok, but nothing compared to the real thing. There are also a fair few actual simulaters floating aroudn the net, most are pretty good, but once you get into some of the more detailed topics there won't be any coverage on them.

Alternatively you can go buy the official CCNA1-4 lab & chapter books and then try your luck with simulaters (i can help you there, i know of many) and just reading the chapters as you do the tests.

thanks for the reply. i do not plan on getting the answers given to me via a set of common questions. I actually want to learn something!

Evening course sounds good, but couldnt find any with Manchester, unless someone can prove me wrong. I want to learn as much as possible and enhance my skills not just something to put on the CV

Well i live in Australia so unfortunately i cannot help you there.
You could of course go buy the official offline lab and chapter books and work your way through them, but really, the most important thing in my opinion is the practical experience. Thats pretty much what you'd be paying for if you were to do a course, so make sure they have the equipment.

I would be flabbergasted if there were no evening classes in Manchester- If we’re talking about the one in the U.K.

You should check out collages. They do them near me and I am in a town infinitely smaller then Manchester.
