I need an irc script that messages users in channels on irc.

Even if some one could supply the code and where to put it that would be good, but would prefer a script.

Im sure its on join /msg %user% welcome!!

Is that correct? Where does this go?

F1 in mIRC, the help files are great.

Just this once I can say RTFM and it's ok Smile

If you are planning on spamming don't bother, you'll get k-lined quicker than you can blink.

They don't connect for long enough to get k-lined and they use relay bots so the ones sending the advert aren't actually in any channels so unless they spam an IRCop's bot by mistake they are safe.

Professional spammers are very dedicated..

this practically would be code. just in case o.O

Code:
on userlevel:JOIN:#channelname:commands

so your msg thingy would be something like :

Code:
Example : on *:JOIN:#testing123:/msg $nick Hi, Welcome.?

practically you would understand this code. Smile
[/code]

Code:
on *:JOIN:#:.msg $nick hi

IIRC

The . before msg is so you won't see the command going out. It gets a bit annoying =D

Code:

on *:JOIN:#:{
if (%on.join.msg == $null) { echo -a You have not set your Msg!!!! }
elseif (%total.count.msg == $null) {
%total.count.msg = 1
msg $nick %on.join.message
inc %total.count.msg
}
else {
inc %total.count.msg
msg $nick %on.join.message
}
}
alias totalnumber {
echo The total Number of Messages That have been sent is %total.count.msg
}

to set the message just type /set %on.join.msg [ whatever you want your message to be here ]
/set %on.join.msg Welcome to $chan $nick I hope you enjoy your stay.
Will Send the message welcome to #room Bob, I Hope you Enjoy your stay.

The %total.count.msg is purely just for curiousity purposes in which to see how many people you've messaged...
to view it type /totalnumber in the edit box Smile

If the server has a limit on the number of commands you can do (flood protection) i would suggest adding a timer to the msg
This will allow your bot to regain it's composure.
