Hi everybody,

I´m new here and got this process that lasts 1 second on the process list and then dissappears. It keeps doing this every second. Before all this started, i usually saw 3 svchost.exe running on process list. Memory usage for theses processes ranges from 4436 kb to 4952 kb. I managed to catch its name: avws.exe and sometimes, avwc.exe. I´ve done some things and this is what i´ve found:

1- Now i got a 4th svchost.exe which i killed to see what happened.
2- it shows up again using 4484 kb of memory.
3- A minute or so later, this fast process appears & vanish.
4- Then, svchost.exe number 4 increases its memory usage to 8828 kb and i´ve seen it hit 23000 kb.

Another thing is that my browser is very, very slow. Does anybody have any idea what this is & is there a cure for it?.

Thanks,

zaruro.

Sounds like spyware to me. Do you use an antivirus and/or antispyware software?
