Okay here is the skinny, I have 2 PCs running WinXP Pro and a Xbox (Original with soft mod) that I want to network together.
The 1st PC is upstairs connected via wired ethernet to a Linksys WRT54G wireless router that has been flashed to DD-WRT v23 firmware.
The 2nd PC is downstairs in the same room with the Xbox and using a wireless NIC to connect to the router.
The problem is that when I use the wireless NIC the wired port does not function at all. With a network cable inserted the port used to have a blinking light, now it does not blink and gives me a error message "A Network Cable Is Unplugged". (motherboard is a Asus A7V8X-X)
Is there a way that I can use the wireless connection and unlock the wired port to connect the Xbox to this network?
If this topic has been addressed before I apologize, but I have done many Google searches using different search strings and have come up empty handed on this topic.

I could not figure this problem out. (I believe it has something to do with the mobo as my system upstairs which uses A8n32-SLI Deluxe does not suffer from this problem) So I moved all my routing equipment downstairs and took the wireless card out of the NAS and plugged it into the PC upstairs and hard wired all the equipment that I needed internet/network to the router. So now my Xbox, NAS, and main PC are networked and I even had a spot left to connect my Samsung LN52A650 52" TV to the internet to retrieve weather, sports, and stock information.
