Distro: Slackware 12.2
Desktop KDE

My problem is with the console.
The settings are:
schema > Linux colors
keyboard > linux console
encoding > default

I like to use white on black, but the white print is so light it's hard to
read with white on black. Also MC is hard to read the file names.

I use the terminals I added to the applet:
right click panel > add applet to panel > terminal sessions

I took a snapshot of this and posted it and it looked alright on another computer.
I don't understand what the problem is. Can anyone help with this?

I would like to fix this. Is there some files I could edit or could I reinstall
the program ( I don't know which programs are called for these terminal emulators.)?

Thanks for help.
