where in linux do i go to see all the logs files for the operating system? im in /var/log but dont see anything related to the OS. also is there a way for me to log all the changes/modications made to the OS?

the log file are in these file and directory.

/var/log/user.log

here there is the log of the single user.

[/b]/var/log/messages[/b]

here there is the various system messages also about all network

/var/log/syslog

here there is the system log

/var/log/atop

here there is all the system log of x

and in other file other log of the system see for single program.
