Hi, new here. The boards were recommended to me by my website developer, to help with a network storage issue.
Here goes:
I bought a WD MyBook 2T World Edition network drive to replace my old 250G NAS. I keep all of my small business data on the drive and back up daily.
I installed the new drive without issue, created folders in the public directory and transferred all of my data. No problem. And the new drive is way faster than my old one!
The issue is when anyone in my shop (on the local network) opens a file from the new drive. modifies it and tries to save. All files are write protected.
I get messages that the drive is full.
I have used the WD Discovery app and the configure control panel to change permissions, users, groups etc. Several times with no change in the results.
WD support has been non-existent. I'm looking for any insight or suggestions.
Please forgive my lack of knowledge on this, and forgive me if I have used incorrect terminology. My old drive simply worked, so I never had to dig too deep.
