Hi,

I’ve got PGP Desktop Corporate installed on my workstation. I plan to use it to create an encrypted file container (i.e., a virtual encrypted disk within a file) to store my confidential documents. I then need to send this file container to another party for him to decrypt it and open my documents.

But my problem is the other party does not have PGP installed. Is it possible for him to install TrueCrypt (or other freeware encryption software) and decrypt my file?

Note: Installing TrueCrypt on my workstation is not an option.

Thanks for the advice.

No. They are completely different file formats. I suggest using the Self-Decrypting Archive function within PGP DT. This creates an encrypted exe file which the user run and extract the documents. The only draw back with that is that most content filters usually block exe files.
