Hi, Im new here I recently was attacked by Slowloris HTTP DoS on my VPS server heres my set up listed below

- 386MB RAM
- 10GB Disk Space
- CentOS4 Linux
- Plesk 10 Domain

Im really wondering how do I stop this attack in the future my hosting provider didn't really help much because I have a unmanaged server. Only thing i was told to do was install an Apache module name Mod_evasive. But while doing some research that wouldn't really help against that kinda DDOS attack. I know where the attack was commin from i even sent all of my logs to the dedicated server host that was attacking me and still nothing was done. I even reported the abuse to at&t his internet provider with his ip address still nothing. If any one can suggest a way to stop this kinda attack in the future I would really appreciate it Thanks in advance.

As a temporary solution you can try to use a vpn from your vps,
Make sure the the vpn has ddos protection(most probably you need to buy 1)
and did u gathered ip's that is ddosing against you?
if yes just block it and what is the size of the ddos attack?
