Folks,
We have 2003 server running IIS 6.0 - it is hosting a webpage that we use for our shipping (ExactShip).

For some reason the applicaiton webpage will not start or the page will not load I get the "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage"

I have tried the IISRESET /RESTART - checked the event log - nothing that is telling me it what the problem is.

I am not able to load the http://localhost/localstart.asp or the //locahhost page. I do get a reply when I ping the 127.0.0.1

I have tried with the firewall on and the firewall off......

Stopped and started the services many times....

Any tools or utilities I can use to try to diagnose this....WFetch and AuthDiag to try to find some error but the pages will not open.

Any thoughts?
Thanks.
JJ

Hi JJ,

First of all check the Event Log for any System or Application events related to IIS. Have you opened up the IIS snap-in and had a look at the website? Is it still there? Check the settings to see if anyone has removed the application or bound it to another IP. You can also start and stop the service from the snap-in.

Check for redirect.

Also, is your site using an ISAPI filter? Is it using .NET? Make sure its enabled.

Are you using COM or MSTDC services? More info on structure of site/app.

The IIS logs in your INETPUB directory can help point to the issue as well.
