I have a simple backup script that i run everyday:-

==================================
ntbackup backup "c:\Stuff" /j "Command Line Backup" /f "c:\backup %date:/=-%.bkf"
==================================

that creates a backup of the folder called stuff and creates a backup on C:\ called backup 03-02-2011

works for me, the question is how do i stop ntbackup running the selection information and just get on with the backup?

What do you mean by the selection information? Are you referring to the confirmation prompt?

when you start a backup job NTbackup counts the number and size of files so it can calculate how long the job will take, I just want it to get on with the job of doing the backup...

FIXED:==
tools->options->general

untick "compute selection information"
