recently users on terminal server repeatedly getting new profile. this has only started recently as users start to notice slower network login times.

each time a user logs on, a new profile is created like so;

username
username.domainname
username.domainname.001
username.domainname.002
username.domainname.003
username.domainname.00X
etc.....

Event viewer hasn't turn anything up in the logs. Access to the network share where the profiles are is accessible a

I've seen this happen when the user somehow ends up in the Guests group. Also when Windows locks portions of the registry and doesn't let go when the user logs off.
Another time I've seen this happen is when the permissions get screwed with. If the user loses Full Control over their profile folder under documents and Settings, the system will create a new profile with each logon.

I would start with the last one and work up.
