Is there such a thing as a good and inexpensive system audit package? I've used Belarc in the past on a single PC basis, but for a network scenario it is a bit out of my budget right now.

Here is the situation - all of my associates run at a reduced privilege lever (standard user) but in some instances I am forced to provide an alternate elevated account on their assigned laptop so they can install VPN clients, drivers and such while the are at a customer site and need access to the customers local resources. Some of my associates are cheeky buggers and install junk they shouldn't. I'd like to be able to quietly audit all the systems on our network to make sure these folks aren't putting us in a license complience situation.
