I'd prefer to use the free for personal use version of Delphi hactually.

I think you can check it out on the borland site, it quite often comes free on the front of magazines aswell.

Itīs a great Basic compiler !. The programming in Windows is very easy using it and the resulting code is very efficient and compact. The libraries who come with the compiler and the additionals free ones, enable the programmer to acomplish a lot of things in areas like audio, CD, database, etc.
The syntax is clear and the integration with Windows API and assembler code is perfect.
I think every minute spend using it pay itself. Very Happy

I used to know the guy who originally developed PureBasic for the Amiga. It stemmed from the great (but hacky) BlitzBasic.

I kinda lost interest when I moved on to C language, and then to PHP though. Good to hear its still knocking about though!
